The 1st DDSG (“Erste Donaudampfschifffahrtsgesellschaft”= First Danube Steamship Company) has a long tradition on the Danube since 1829. With this young successor company DDSG Blue Danube you can enjoy cruises under the motto "moments of happiness on the ship". Comfortable excursions and sightseeing boat trips in Vienna and the Wachau are also part of the offer, as are wonderful themed boat trips with buffet and live music in the evening.
THE NEW MS "WACHAU"
It is considered a classic among the Austrian excursion ships and impresses with its balanced design - the proud DDSG ship"Wachau". In the winter months of 2017/18, it was given a new traditional maritime chic as part of a complete renovation. From now on, in addition to the "Dürnstein" ship unit, which was completely renovated in 2016 with the authentic Wachau look, the second modern DDSG ship in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wachau is also available.
OFFERS IN THE WACHAU
From the end of March to the beginning of November, the red and white DDSG fleet starts up to 3 times a day in each direction for leisurely boat trips through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau. Wether in spring, when the apricot and other fruit trees are in full bloom, in sommer with a bright blue sky or in autumn, when the vineyards change color and shimmer red and gold in the afternoon sun - a boat trip through the Wachau is always an experience. Due to the dense timetable, there are numerous possibilities to experience the region between Krems, Dürnstein, Spitz, Emmersdorf and Melk from the water.

On selected Sundays from July to September we take the MS Admiral Tegetthoff from Vienna to the Wachau. Enjoy the ride and the beautiful view of the surrounding towns, meadows and forests. During the 2-hour stay, you can stroll through Dürnstein and explore the picturesque town.
