Lower Austria State Gallery

The Lower Austria State Gallery is a new, dynamic exhibition location for Austrian art. It combines Lower Austrian state collections with important private collections and responds to contemporary issues with thematic and personal exhibitions. The life and reality of the people is the principle of the program, which encompasses all types of art and puts the old dialogue with the new.

Exciting exhibitions are presented on five presentation levels on 3,000 m2 of exhibition space. The Lower Austria State Gallery isthe center of the Krems art mile, which extends from the Minoritenplatz in Stein via the Franz-Zeller-Platz (now Museumsplatz) to the Dominican Church in Krems with its Forum Frohner, Kunsthalle Krems and cartoon museum Krems.
